Color Atlas of Ultrasound Anatomy, Second Edition presents a systematic, step-by-step introduction to normal sectional anatomy of the abdominal and pelvic organs and thyroid gland, essential for recognizing the anatomic landmarks and variations seen on ultrasound. Its convenient, double-page format, with more than 250 image quartets showing ultrasound images on the left and explanatory drawings on the right, is ideal for rapid comprehension. In addition, each image is accompanied by a line drawing indicating the position of the transducer on the body and a 3-D diagram demonstrating the location of the scanning plane in each organ.
More than 60 new ultrasound images in the second edition that were obtained with state-of-the-art equipment for the highest quality resolution A helpful foundation on standard sectional planes for abdominal scanning, with full-color photographs demonstrating probe placement on the body and diagrams of organs shown Front and back cover flaps displaying normal sonographic dimensions of organs for easy reference
Covering all relevant anatomic markers, measurable parameters, and normal values, and including both transverse and longitudinal scans, this pocket-sized reference is an essential learning tool for medical students, radiology residents, ultrasound technicians, and medical sonographers.
Praised for its clear and consistent organization, dynamic illustrations, and emphasis on clinical applications, Snell’s Clinical Anatomy by Regions pairs expert perspectives with a user-friendly approach to deliver a proven learning and teaching resource on the practical application of anatomy.
Ideal for medical, dental, allied health, and nursing programs, this trusted text guides students through the fundamentals of human anatomy, explaining the how and why behind each structure and offering readers the hands-on guidance they need to make sound clinical choices.
This edition has been completely reorganized to help students confidently navigate body regions from surface to deep structures, integrating basic anatomy, clinical information, surface and radiographic anatomy, as well as embryology. Colorful new illustrations and concise chapter summaries further reinforce understanding of key concepts and equip students for clinical success.
An ideal resource for the classroom or clinical setting, Sectional Anatomy for Imaging Professionals, 4th Edition provides a comprehensive, and highly visual approach to the sectional anatomy of the entire body. Side-by-side presentations of actual diagnostic images from both MRI and CT modalities and corresponding anatomic line drawings illustrate the planes of anatomy most commonly demonstrated by diagnostic imaging. Easy-to-follow descriptions detail the location and function of the anatomy, while clearly labeled images help you confidently identify anatomic structures during clinical examinations. In all, it’s the one reference you need to consistently produce the best possible diagnostic images.

Surgical Anatomy of the Abdomen
It is our privilege to introduce a book of surgical anatomy, especially during this time, when classical anatomy with thorough anatomical dissection on cadaveric models has been reduced significantly in medical schools, while the surgeon’s needs for anatomical knowledge has continuously increased. In the repertoire of modern general surgery, are included nowadays, trauma and emergency surgery, coloproctology, esophagus and cardia and stomach surgery, surgical oncology, hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery, endocrine surgery, transplant surgery and breast surgery. During the evolution of this speciality, surgical anatomy has experienced new refinements. Throughout this book we intended to fill the gap between all we are learning as students in the pre-clinical years and what we are facing everyday in the operating theaters. We feel that a major strength of this book is integration of embryology details, relevant for the operating surgeon who should develop dissection planes with minimum trauma and blood loss, according to the modern open and minimally invasive surgical principles. The histology data tries to offer to residents and young doctors a tool for better understanding the tissue structures relevant in surgical oncology. Being the first edition of this book, we are aware about the need for further clarification in certain areas and we rely on constructive criticism from our readers. The book is intended for a wide readership across students, residents, and general surgery physicians. We are grateful to our colleagues from the Emergency Hospital of Bucharest, from Surgery, Radiology and Imagistics, Pathology and Gastroenterology Departments who supported us with useful images. Many authors have given us permission to reproduce their figures and detailed acknowledgements are given in the text. The publisher, the Publishing House of the Romanian Academy, enthusiastically supported us with editing of our book and provided us with outstanding assistance. We hope that this book will not linger on the shelf and will be a constant place to return to for revising anatomy before going into the operating room.
