About the Author

Robert M. Henshaw is a Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery (Orthopedic Oncology) at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Director of Orthopedic Oncology at Medstar Georgetown Orthopedic Institute. He serves as Vice Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Director of Orthopedic Oncology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC, and consultant to the Surgical Branch of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health. Dr. Henshaw received his degree in mechanical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center followed by fellowship training in Orthopedic Oncology at Washington Hospital Center. Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Henshaw specializes in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal tumors in children and adults. As director of the musculoskeletal tumor fellowship program at Medstar, Dr. Henshaw is very active in research, education and training of doctors in his specialty. A primary investigator for multiple clinical trials, he has over 160 presentations, publications and book chapters in the field of orthopedic oncology. His primary focus is on limb sparing surgery and the multidisciplinary treatment of patients with sarcomas.

He is the fellowship director of the MSK/Body MRI fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and enjoys teaching his fellows and residents. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles, reviews for numerous journals, and has served several educational committees at national and international radiology societies. The focus of his teaching is to simplify complex educational content that will stimulate reader interest. He was member of the Executive Committee of the International Headache Society (2003-2008) and founder of International Master School of International Headache Society. He has been President of Italian Headache Society ( 2009/2010).

Marco Arruda is Specialist in Neurology and Neurology for Children and Adolescents at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FMRPUSP). He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology, the Brazilian Association of Neurology and Child Psychiatry, the Brazilian Society of Pediatric Neurology, the Brazilian Headache Society, the Brazilian Association of Attention Deficit, the International Headache Society and IMBES (International Mind, Brain and Education Society).

Aynur Özge is Professor of Neurology, Algology and Clinical Neurophysiology, at the, Mersin University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology, Mersin, Turkey. She is the chef of headache outpatient department both of adults and children and adolescents in the same department. She is the founder and coordinator of the Turkish Headache Database Project.
